Composite Geomembrane Technology And Construction Precautions

Composite geomembrane

Including two cloth a film, a cloth a film, many cloth many film is from the non-woven geotextile as the substrate, polyethylene, PVC as the membrane material, through the composite nonwovens composite geomembrane. With isolation, reinforcement, drainage, slope protection, and seepage prevention, good flexibility and other characteristics.

Composite geomembrane is produced in two different processes

1. Thermal composite film blowing process
2. Lymphatic process
 Comparison between the two processes
(1) Compared with the lymphatic membrane process of the thermal composite process, the geomembrane produced by the thermal composite film blowing process have stable quality, uniform thickness, and high seepage prevention effect. Moreover, the quality of the geomembrane and geotextile can be effectively monitored at any time in the production process. The composite geomembrane produced by the membrane process is subject to process requirements, low permeability coefficient and limited by engineering requirements.
(2) thermal composite production of geomembrane, vertical and horizontal strength uniform. In the process, the horizontal and horizontal strength adjustment is uneven, which will cause low transverse strength.
(3) Thermal composite is produced by raw material extrusion, and the membrane production is uniform. The lymphatic membrane production membrane uniformity is poor, and the composite membrane thickness is uneven.
(4) the shower membrane process will cause the edge film thin, thin and basic film, and a tear will crack. Thermal composite edge shaking process, through the water cooling and other cooling process, shaking edge thinning will not happen, and the strong requirements will not change.

Construction technology

1. Construction principle of composite geomembrane: composite geomembrane is a kind of geosynthetic material, which has good seepage prevention effect. The composite geomembrane is laid on the bottom surface that needs anti-seepage treatment, the sand cushion is laid, and the concrete on the top of the embankment forms a completely closed anti-seepage system.
2.Construction process: before the laying of composite geomembrane, earthwork filling and warehouse bottom dressing are completed, and the flatness of the reservoir surface. The laying of composite geomembrane can be made only after meeting the design requirements and being accepted by the supervision engineer.
3. Construction preparation for the composite geomembrane:
(1) Cleaning of the bottom of the library. Level the site, remove all sharp corner debris, underslope backfill compaction. Rich slope cutting slope leveling acceptance, to provide a working face for composite geomembrane laying.
(2) geomembrane field splicing in order to facilitate construction and ensure the quality of splicing, composite geomembrane should be wide as far as possible to reduce the amount of site splicing, before construction should be based on the width of composite geomembrane. The site length needs to be fixed by the manufacturer and reserve lateral welding edges.
4. Composite geomembrane laying technical requirements: laying should be in dry and warm weather, in order to facilitate splicing, prevent stress concentration, composite geomembrane laying using wavy relaxation way, spread out, open, require composite geomembrane and slope level, no wrinkles, construction personnel should wear flat cloth shoes or soft rubber shoes, it is forbidden to wear nailing, so as not to trample geomembrane, construction if found geomembrane damage, should be repaired in time.
5.Anchoring of composite geomembrane: the upper anchorage of composite geomembrane adopts the form of concrete capping plate embedded with enough length of composite geomembrane at the top of the embankment.
6. Construction considerations:
(1) Use the landfill type, the coverage should not be less than 30 cm.
(2) Application of the whole anti-seepage system: cushion layer.impermeable layer.transition layer. Protective layer composition.
(3) The soil should be solid to avoid uneven subsidence cracks, seepage prevention within the range of turf. The roots should be removed, and the sand with small particle size or clay as protective layer.
(4) When laying, the geomembrane should not pull too tight, the part of the soil buried at both ends is better, especially with steel anchorage, should leave a certain amount of expansion.
(5) Stone blocks should be avoided during the construction. Heavy objects directly hit on the geomembrane, it is best to build while laying film, while covering the protective layer.
The selection of composite geomembrane specifications is related to the flatness of the lower cushion, material allowable tensile force, material elastic modulus, the largest head and the largest covering size, etc. In the design of the geomembrane thickness, besides considering the strength mainly required by the water pressure, including exposure, buried pressure, climate, service life, and determine the actual thickness according to the provisions of the current relevant standards. The construction of composite geomembrane is fine construction, which requires long-term accumulation of experience. The construction personnel must not only master the engineering application principle of composite geomembrane, but also deal with the complex conditions according to the construction conditions.
